Professional Summary
George Ioannou is currently an independent expert engaged in a number of key projects in the areas of strategy development, quality, sustainability, health and safety, process improvement as well as operational risk assessment. He is an ex-Director in Advisory PwC Cyprus, responsible for Sustainability Business Services. He has over 40 years’ experience in the provision of services in the areas of Quality management, Environmental, Energy and Health and Safety management, Sustainable Tourism and Corporate Social Responsibility strategy development and reporting in the private and public sectors. More specifically George has provided consultancy, training and coaching for public sector organisations aiming to implement the Common Assessment Framework (European excellence model for public sector organisations).
He is a certified trainer by the Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority in the areas of his consulting expertise. In addition he is a ‘Health and Safety Competent Person’ on occupational health and safety registered with the Labour Inspectorate – Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance.
He is the national representative representing CYS (Cyprus Standards Organisation), on the ISO/ TC312 – Technical committee on Service Excellence. He is the Convener of Working Group 4 on Public Service Excellence and project leader responsible for the recent publication of ISO 11367:2025 – Service Excellence – Principles and model for public service organisations.
